conculsion: closing statement about why all these supporting ideas make him & men like him masculine.

the male body

In the reading Susan Bordo states that men are suppose to be moving targets, to never be caught in the act, even if its fantasy. My advertisment is Armaniexchange clothing ad, with 2 models one male & one female, But neither look out at you both gazes are indirect. The male has his shirt ripped open by the female he's looking down at his chest while she looks down at him. They are caught in a "sexual" act and as Bordo stated the men should not be enjoying the attention that they look away and doesnt give you the satisfaction of being caught in the act.

Male Privilege Checklist

On the check list, # 16: "As a child, chances are I was encouraged to be more active and outgoing then my sisters."
This statement is still true till this day, I'm a 18 year old female and I have an older Brother. He's always been encouraged to do more then I ever was. When he was in high school & on sports teams he was told to go out and socialize, go to parties and etc. But then there's me, when I was on the volleyball team I was told to go home straight after practice or a game. There's always been a double standard between men and women, when my brother went to parties he would have until 3:00-4:00 am, where I have/had to be home at 12:00am the latest. Even as I had gotten older a lot of these rules have not changed.  So Mclntosh checklist is still up to date in today's world, at the very least mine
